Valley View Christian Church in Littleton, Colorado, partnered with us to reimagine their kids’ spaces and student hallway, creating an environment that feels welcoming, engaging, and rooted in the stories and traditions of the Bible.
Throughout the project, our goal was to balance function, storytelling, and creativity—creating a kids’ environment that feels special and memorable while still supporting the practical needs of families, volunteers, and staff.
The existing check-in area presented a unique challenge, with limited space available to accommodate families and volunteers. We maximized every inch with simple, highly functional check-in stations and clear room identification and wayfinding. The result is a welcoming entry into the kids’ space that feels intentional and organized without overwhelming the footprint.
One of the standout features is a playful, colorful display of the books of the Bible, using individually cut acrylic pieces in a variety of colors. This simple graphic moment turns a familiar educational element into something visually engaging for kids.
With a nod toward more traditional, Bible-inspired thematic elements, we developed a cohesive design that brings storytelling to life throughout the space without feeling overly literal or dated. Each classroom was given its own unique biblical theme, creating distinct identities that help children connect with and remember their spaces.
